The second group of pros exiting the swim were 3 mins off the leading group.

Nicole Leder was out with the fastest woman swimmers.

The ironman goes on in the background with plenty of security around.

Above and below is what can happen in T1.

I heard a bit of a crash and it sounded like someone rode into the back of this guy.

Macca(in blue) shown here with 3 pros hard on his tail.

Macca being encouraged by the devil.

Macca looked to be working a bit hard on the cobblestones here at 30kms into the bike, especially considering the long day ahead.

He was close to 3mins of the lead group of 6 professional men in the swim, so had some time to make up.

The run is all along the river side.

I did one complete lap of it the night before without realising it was the course, it was all flat and good running.

Eneko Llanos lead the run for much of the way.

Chris McCormack pushed the pace in the run but he started to faulter in the last 10km and did well to hold 3rd.
